This independent horse industry conference, festival and indoor vendor exposition will be held in the city’s only climate-controlled Convention Center in downtown Lexington, KY from September 25th - October 10, 2010, during the largest U.S. sporting event of the year. Lexington, KY is expected to attract 600,000 spectators this fall to see competitions in Dressage, Driving, Eventing, Endurance, Reining, Show Jumping, Vaulting and Para-Equestrian.

Each afternoon, as the worldwide audience departs from the competitions held at the Kentucky Horse Park, the International Equestrian Festival opens its doors to 100,000 square feet of indoor exhibition space and conferences in the heart of downtown Lexington. Additionally, the International Equestrian Festival will be a central place where visitors can get tourist information, meet the experts, and spend their day off (the competition schedule has various days off, and gaps in the scheduling, allowing visitors to explore the city without missing their favorite horses compete).

The International Equestrian Festival venue is attached to the Hyatt hotel and Rupp Arena’s 23,000-seat facility, where major concerts and events are frequently held.
