Stars of Lexington - Lexington is a little city with a big heart, ready to throw its arms open to embrace horse lovers from around the world.
by Susan L. Ebert
Not all the action will be taking place at the Kentucky Horse Park during the 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games: The International Equestrian Festival is poised to be the brightest star in downtown Lexington and portends an array of exciting exhibitors, activities and events. For vendors wishing to connect with the more-than-half-million spectators expected to attend the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, this venue in downtown Lexington presents attractive options.
Lexington, known as the "Horse Capital of the World," is already aflutter in preparations for this historic event -- the first-eve World Equestrian Games in the U.S. -- and two of its most ardent ambassadors are Anne Buchanan and Kimberly Brown, founders of Horse Capital Productions, who are engineering a major festival at the Lexington Convention Center. Industry veteran Kent Hopper of Hopper Expositions Inc., will handle actual "nuts and bolts" of the trade show to ensure a seamlessly run event.
