Scott County

GEORGETOWN/SCOTT COUNTY TOURISM

Overview

Georgetown/Scott County is located north of the crossroads of I-75 and I-64, 10 miles north of Lexington, the Horse Capital of the World. Today, Georgetown is a blend of old and new. Noted for its profusion of historic houses, antiques/boutiques shopping and the home of Toyota Motor Manufacturing. Our back roads offer beautiful horse farms, Irish fieldstone fences, the meandering Elkhorn and Eagle creeks and rolling fields of tobacco and cattle. We invite you to take a few hours or stay a few days to explore Scott County and discover for yourself what makes us a Kentucky Treasure.
